Born in Athens, Georgia, Karen’s southern accent is somewhat of an anomaly in Maine, where she now resides. After years as a successful trial attorney, she became a full-time mother before stepping on the comedy stage. She made her national television debut only months later and has since appeared in theaters, comedy clubs, and on radio and television all across the country. As a producer of comedy events, she brings quality comedy entertainment to satisfied customers.
Theatres
Very early in her career, Karen expanded her performance schedule to theatres—and audiences could not be happier. Whether performing in her one-woman show or with hilarious colleagues, Karen’s style of comedy is particularly suited for theatre audiences. Her experience in the theatre and performing arts market gives her comedy productions a step up.
Corporate Events
Licensed to practice law both above and below the Mason-Dixon line, Karen’s background as a trial attorney makes her the perfect choice for corporate events. Whether you are looking for a keynote speaker, after-dinner speaker, luncheon performer, master of ceremonies, CLE presenter, motivational speaker, educator or auctioneer, look no further. As both entertainer and producer of corporate comedy events, Karen helps clients choose the best performers for their group.
Television
Selected as one of the seven finalists from 1,000 entries to appear on Nickelodeon TV’s Search for the Funniest Mom in America, Karen appeared in two seasons of SFMA at the beginning of her comedy career. Since then, she has appeared regularly on television, including her humorous parenting segment, You Gotta Be Kidding Me, as host of The Home Show, and as host of NESN’s Lobster Chef of the Year which was recently nominated for a NE Emmy Award. She is the only comedian to be featured by Nestlé® in their national campaign.
Radio
Karen’s radio spot, The Mother Load, can be heard each week on The Coast Morning Show, where she brings laughter to morning commuters and radio listeners. She also appears on other radio stations around the country, including a one-hour comedy special and clips on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.
